Caroline Lavoie earned a BA from Miami University in Public Administration and History in 2009. After graduation she moved to Rochester, New York and worked in several non-profits including a healthcare facility that served the uninsured in the community. There she served as Practice Manager before leading the transition from paper charts to Electronic Health Record. She was exposed to the strengths and weaknesses of our healthcare industry, and formed a passion for health and the improvement of care through data analytics.
At the University of New Hampshire, Caroline worked on health data including a summer project focused on insurance plans offered through the Affordable Care Act and a practicum project with Martin’s Point HealthCare. Her masters work strengthened her belief that the utilization of analytics can bring substantial, lasting, and positive change to healthcare, and she is excited to bring her new skills back to the industry after graduation.
In her free time, Caroline loves to read, travel, and go hiking with her husband, Joe. She is greatly enjoying exploring her beautiful new home state!
